Bluegrass Tunes and Down Home Humor on Stage at CTL

They’re back!  Those wacky guys from Stained Grass Window are back on stage at The Community Theatre on October 3 at 7:30 pm.  A unique blend of traditional bluegrass, gospel, and their own brand of down-home humor brings CTL audiences back year after year.

Ken Shafranko leads the group on resophonic guitar and vocals, with Mark Doncheski on banjo/mandolin and vocals, Rick Marcera on mandolin, and Bob Knorr on rhythm guitar and vocals.

The guys welcome a new member to their group.  Doug Ward anchors the group on the bass and sings some lead vocals and harmony.  Tickets for the show are selling quickly, so make your reservations now.

Stained Grass Window has been playing together for more than ten years, appearing at the larger bluegrass festivals in the region, including Wind Gap, Stonyfork, Wise Owl, and Jerseytown, and at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and Wilkes-Barre Fine Arts Festival.  They were featured in the Community Arts Center’s St. Patty’s Bluegrass Festival, on WVIA FM and on television.  “Just for good measure,” they have managed to release some recordings.  Visit them on the web at www.stainedgrasswindow.com.

The concert begins at 7:30 pm at The Community Theatre, 100 West Third Street in Downtown Williamsport.  Tickets are 2 for $25 or $15 for adults and $8 for students.  Call 327-1777, weekdays 11-4 to purchase your seats.  Stained Grass Window is sponsored by Jim Dinsmore/Liberty Mutual Group and Clear Channel Radio Williamsport.
